"Mars"

This is a pane made by a group of Y6 children to be part of a Legacy Window, to mark their transition from Primary School. The theme of the window is space, as we were lucky enough have Dr Thirsk, a real astronaut visit us. his group of 10/11 year olds made the window for Mars. They selected a glass for the planet that had a range of reds, orange and yellows in it. They also decided to include only a section of the planet, focusing on space, using increasingly dark blue glass to make it appear that this was deep space. There is a Martian spaceship zipping through a belt of meteors.

Type of glass used: Bullseye coloured glass and Tekta, dichroic glass, frit and stringers
