Name of Work:"Mellifluous"
Third Line:Bullseye Glass Artists 2019

Mellifluous is the outcome of coloured and clear glass being subjected to heat and gravity over multiple firings, creating flow and form, and mimicking the geological processes of sedimentation and metamorphism. To minimise waste, only offcuts of Bullseye glass and broken refractory mould material have been used. This also reflects the continual process of the recycling of rocks as they rise from, and are pushed back into, the earth’s mantle over billions of years.
