The Glass Prize 2017


Prizes are available in each of the different categories as follows:

Bullseye Glass Artists Prize

Bullseye Glass

The 2017 Prize for this category is a fantastic workshop at Bullseye Glass Co. in Portland, Oregon, USA and includes hotel accommodation and some meals. This superb prize is typically valued at about US$2000-2400. We are extremely grateful to Bullseye Glass Co. for their continuing support of our competition. 

The Judges for this category will be led by Lani McGregor, Executive Director of Bullseye Projects in conjunction with Gallery Curator, Michael Endo and Madisyn Zabel, Winner of the Bullseye Glass Artists Prize 2016.

Entries in this category must be made using wholly Bullseye Glass - no other types of glass are permissible in this category.

Bullseye Glass Education Prizes

The winner of each Education category will win £200 of Warm Glass UK Gift Vouchers for their establishment plus a place on a Personalised Day in our state-of-the-art studio, being taught a range of glass techniques by our specialist teacher, Megan O'Hara (this day to be shared with the winners in the other two Education categories; to be arranged on a mutally convenient date).

Entries into this category will be uploaded to the Warm Glass Facebook page and the winners will be the ones with the most 'Likes' between July 17th and Midday July 31st 2017.

(Entries in this category must be made using wholly Bullseye Glass - no other types of glass are permissible in this category.)

There are three prizes within this category : Primary Schools category open to children between 5-11 years of age; Secondary School category open to children between 11 and 16 (in full-time Secondary education); Higher Education category open to anyone aged over 16 years of age studying on an accredited glass class. EVIDENCE OF ELIGIBILITY IN THE EDUCATION CATEGORIES MAY BE REQUESTED. Group or Class projects are acceptable in this category.


Other Glass Prize

The winner of this category will receive a £115 Warm Glass UK Gift Voucher, suitable for a One Day glass class or to be used against any glass order.

Entries into this category will be judged by Hungarian Glass Artist and Winner of The Glass Prize 2016 'Other Glass' category, Peter Borkovics. We are very grateful for Peter's input and support.
