"Nature's Late Night Tears"

Inspired by a photograph I took on a winter's night of rain on a spider's web, this piece was created by firing bullseye glass cane slumped over a mould to create delicate filaments of glass. One strand was hardly visible to the naked eye. I then repeatedly coated the strands in clear resin to create the water droplet effect on the glass strands. A tiny droplet of resin hangs from one of the glass strands. The piece is approximately 10cm x 18cm in size

Type of glass used: Bullseye cane

Type of kiln used: Toploading drum kiln
