"Butterfly inspired bowls"

This series of bowls play tribute to insects, particularly butterflies. They are 18cm diameter, exploring warm (tangerine) and cool (lime) colour palettes. Recent publications from the University of Sydney, and the China Academy of Agricultural Science, have outline a dramatic decline in insect populations. Over 40% of insect species could go extinct in the next few decades, with butterfilies, bees, and dung beetles most affected. Insects provide strong infrastructure to land based ecosystems, and are the unsung heroes of the foodchain. No insects... no birds, ... no birdsong.
