"Melts"

Melts 2kg 5x27x36cm Multi fired kiln formed Obsidian, Egyptian Paste, Recycled Glass with free poured Pewter and Aluminium Melt - the process of heating a solid substance to a liquid. It also refers to the natural geology of magna, as well as the semi-liquid material used in metal manufacturing and glassblowing. I collect Obsidian the result of Magna melts, Silica and Iron Sands and fuse them in multiple firings with recycled glass, Egyptian Paste and metals to create altered landscapes that are informed by the volcanic geology of NZs' place on the Pacific Ring of Fire
