"Before The Hazel Wood"

'I went out to he hazel wood because a fire was in my head......' are the opening lines of W B Yeats' 'The Song of Wandering Aengus' . So this piece is Aengus' state of mind before he ventures into the wood. The piece is built up with layers of organically shaped pieces of glass, many of them dichroic so that their colour shifting qualities invoke the flickering movement and intensity of fiery flames. Mounted on painted ply 30cm x 50cm

Type of glass used: Bullseye
