"Bamboo Pond"

Bamboo Pond consists of a miniature stained glass window within a window - part of a new range of work called Isolation - Through the Garden Window. The central panel is made with a combination of flameworked, pulled, and kilnworked elements, alongside cut bullseye glass, frits and powders. Following fusing it is then handpainted using reusche colours to give it a final definition. A contemporary twist on traditional stained glass, it is inspired by the pond in my West Sussex Garden but also incorporates memories of playing by the statue of Buddha in the bamboo groves of my childhood garden in Hong Kong.

Type of glass used: Central panel is Bullseye Glass with a variety of traditional stained glass for the surrounding panels

Type of kiln used: Kilncare Grand-fuser
