"Hōkai or Decay"

I present here a magnolia flower in a decaying state, presented on burned wood. I treated a real flower using the pâte de verre technique. The interaction between glass, the flower, heat and sand created the decaying flower. The inspiration is taken from the Japanese, appreciating the decay of nature.
