"Punto Peyote in Glass"

Glass and Textile, a nice pairing to me! It is not the first time I use textile as inspiration...and it won't be the last time. This is PUNTO PEYOTE, an ancient Mexican textile technique recreated in glass. In this pieces, hundreds of handmade glass pearls arranged into beautiful designs are fused together. Transparency and opacity, light and shadows, texture…all glass attributes used to beautify the multifaceted PUNTO PEYOTE technique. Today the supports for the glass are an important part of the artwork, so I design digitally and I 3D print them, letting me create original and personalized forms for my work.
